Smith River Report from Fishing the North Coast column in the Times-Standard newspaper every Thursday in the Sports Section:
The Smith was pushy on Wednesday, but still fished well reports guide Mike Coopman. “The river is still pretty big, but it’s got close to six-feet of visibility. The height should be perfect by the weekend, but it will be clear. There’s definitely some fish around, a solid mix of fresh fish and downers,” Coopman said. The main stem Smith from the mouth to the forks will remain open to fishing through April 30.
