Klamath salmon still biting

There’s still fish coming into the river, just not in big numbers reports Mike Coopman of Mike Coopman’s Guide Service. “The fish we are getting have been good size, with some weighing up to 40-pounds. As the case has been for the last month, the cooler water is allowing the fish to move upriver quickly. We’ve been catching fish 20 miles upriver that still have sea lice. Most of the action has been coming in the deeper holes, but that’s not to say you couldn’t get them side-drifting in faster water. The key right now is to cover a lot of water. If you don’t get bit in the first few minutes, pick up and move until you find some biters,” Coopman said. — Excerpt from Fishing the North Coast
