Warm water slows lower Klamath salmon bite

From Fishing the North Coast: The lower river has been real inconsistent the last few days, according to Mike Coopman of Mike Coopman’s Guide Service. “I’d rate it as mediocre to slow — with very few adult kings making their way upriver. Most boats are averaging between three and four adults per trip along with a couple adult steelhead. The salmon we are getting have been real good ones,” Coopman added.

From Facebook: The bite started really good on Sept 13 weekend, but quickly faded with the sunlight, and boat pressure. The wildlife was abundant today, we saw eight different bears.
