Guide Mike Coopman reports the summer steelhead fishing on the Klamath has been decent the past few days. “The water is pretty warm, but the moss has slowed way down. The best action has come from Blue Creek down. Boats trolling the estuary with spinners and Kastmasters have been hooking a few fall salmon each day. I’ve heard there’s quite a few milling around the mouth,” Coopman added. — Excerpt from Fishing the North Coast
July 12 From Facebook: The bite was pretty good early. The wind came up and made it a little tough by mid morning. I got to spend an awesome day with some old friends, and to top it off got to witness their daughter catching her first fish! Awesome day! Keep your lines tight!
