Guide Mike Coopman reports the moss relented slightly beginning on Sunday, and the river is looking better. “There’s definitely some adult steelhead around, and now that the moss has backed off, we should see some better fishing. I’m not sure how many springers are still coming, but there have been a few fall fish caught at the mouth. From what I’m hearing it sounds like they’re coming in and out with the tides,” Coopman added. — Excerpt taken from Fishing the North Coast column by Kenny Priest
